Living in the Land of Odd

My family and I have lived in the big city of Chicago, a rural town, and the suburbs. Every time I have moved I have been thrown out of my comfort zone. It's never easy and at first I feel as if I am living in the land of Odd. It's different and unusual than my own little worldview. I have found that, although at times it is painful and uncomfortable to get out of that zone of familiarity, it is worth it. It stretches me, causes me to grow and opens my eyes to another perspective. I can't help, but to come out changed. Now my family and I are about to embark on our biggest move yet. We are moving to Mexico. I'm sure there will be many uncomfortable times were I feel as if I am in a land of Odd. (Even though in reality, I am actually the one that is odd or different from those around me.) This is a blog to record our journey of being stretched and taken out of our comfort zone.
